Privacy

Many Reinwind riders are young, so we keep as little as we can. This page tells you exactly what that is.

Your account

  • Your email address and your username (your rider name on every stable).
  • Your password, stored scrambled so nobody can read it.
  • The stables you list in the directory, and which Reinwind apps are signed in with your account.
  • When your Reinwind app last talked to us, so moderators can see who is online.

Usage statistics

To make Reinwind better, the Reinwind app tells us when these things happen. They are linked to your account.

  • You open or close Reinwind, and how long it was open.
  • You start the game, and whether it is your own stable, a friend's or one from the directory.
  • You close the game: how long you played, and whether it closed normally.
  • You open or close your gate: how long it was open, and the most riders at once.
  • A rider joins your stable (we don't get their name).
  • Reinwind installs an update, from which version to which.

Each one comes with its time, your Reinwind version and your Windows version (like "Windows 10.0.26300"). That's all.

Never: your IP address, your game files, chat, rider or horse names, or anything you write.

  • On from the start. You can turn statistics off any time in the Reinwind app, under Help → Privacy or in your account. Then the app stops sending them at once.
  • Kept for 180 days. Each night we add up the day into totals without names, like "12 riders played today". We keep those totals.
  • Only Reinwind moderators can see statistics. We never sell them or share them.
  • Delete them any time with "Delete my statistics" on your Account page.

Reports from the app

When something goes wrong, you can press "Send a report" in the Reinwind app. It sends what you wrote and the app's logs, with private details removed first. Nothing is sent unless you press Send. Reports are deleted after 30 days.

This website

A cookie keeps you signed in. While you are signed in, your sign-in remembers your internet address and browser name to keep it safe; they go away when you sign out or the sign-in ends. To stop people guessing passwords, the website counts sign-in tries from each address for one minute.

Leaving

Deleting your account on the Account page deletes your account, your stables and your statistics. Reports you sent stay, without your name, until they are deleted after 30 days.
